Uniforme næsten samtidige grålilla helshirtingsbind med enkel rygforgyldning. For- og bagsatse fornyet. Ryggen på bind 2 let falmet. Separete titleleaves, halftitles and indexes and the dedikation leaves. Bound in two uniform, almost contemporary purple cloth bindings. Pastedowns renewed. Spine to the second volume a bit sunned.

* BFN 516 & 529. Bind 2 med dedikation på smudstitelbladet: "Min kjære lille Gitte Scharling fra hendes Digter". ** Førsteudgaven. Komplet sæt af bind 2 af Nye Eventyr, som de udkom. I 1848 samledes de to dele med et fælles titelblad og en fælles indholdsfortegnelse. Med førstetryk af bl.a. "Skyggen", "Det gamle Huus" og "Vanddraaben". *** Modtageren af bogen, Anne Birgitte Andrea Scharling (1840-1922) var datterdatter af Andersens ven og mentor, fysikeren H.C. Ørsted. Andersen har højst sandsynligt truffet den lille pige hos morfaderen, hvor han ofte spiste middag. **** Volume 2 inscribed to the half title: "Min kjære lille Gitte Scharling fra hendes Digter". [My dear little Gitte Scharling from her poet] ** The recipient of the book was Anne Birgitte Andrea Scharling (1840-1922), granddaughter of Andersens friend and mentor, the genius physicist Hans Christian Ørsted. Andersen had met the girl often at her grandfather's house, where Andersen dined frequently.

Kierkegaards filosofiske roman om gentagelsens mulighed er angiveligt kun trykt i 525 eksemplarer.** First edition of Kierkegaard's philosophical novel "Gjentagelsen", which was presumably only published in 525 copies. This copy is bound untrimmed in the original boards. Spine somewhat worn; thus the bookblock is slightly loose.

2 parts in 1 volume. Nyon, Paris 1759. On good paper. (4)+288+222+(6) pages. Engraved frontispiece portrait. Titlepages printed in red and black. Contemporary marbled calf with richly gilt spine, * Turenne (1611-75) was a main character in the bloody wars of the 17th century, being the greatest genius of warfare of the period and one of the best in this trade in the history of mankind. He joined the Dutch army at the age of 14, and changed sides numerous times in the turmoil of the Thirty Years' War and the period after. Of course he was killed by a cannon ball. He rests next to Napoleon in the Dôme des Invalides in Paris.
