Translated from the original in Gujarall by Mahadev Desai. Navajivan Press, Ahmedabad 1940. Frontespiece photograph + (16)+636 pages. Illustrated with nine photos in b/w (plus frontispiece) (complete). Bound untrimmed in the original cloth. Exterior mildly and unevenly sunned. A couple of small holes to the cloth on the spine. As always, the cloth is a bit creased.

* The scarce second edition - revised by the author and with new photographs - of Gandhi's autobiography. It was originally published in two volumes in 1927-29, two decades before India's independence from Great Britain. It is bound in the special Indian Khadi cloth that Gandhi [1869-1948] promoted as part of the struggle for independence. Both the first and second edition are very scarce.
